Hieu Tran Keyword Research
A private research tool that reads keyword search volumes from its owner's own Google Ads account, to judge demand for software products before planning ad campaigns for them.
What it does
- Takes a list of search phrases, for example "shopify bundle app" or "jira test management".
- Asks the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner historical metrics) for each phrase's average monthly searches, competition and top-of-page bid range.
- Saves the results as a spreadsheet file on the owner's computer, where they are used to score product ideas.
Who uses it
Only its owner, Hieu Tran, an independent software developer. It is a command-line script, not a public service: there is no sign-up, and nobody else's Google account is connected to it.
Google data it uses
It signs in with Google OAuth and requests one scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords (Google Ads API), on the owner's own Google Ads account. It only reads keyword planning data. It does not create, change or delete campaigns, ads, budgets, billing or users. See the privacy policy for how the data is handled.
